AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 price and release date declared

With the holiday season fast approaching, another treat for potential tablet enthusiasts comes in the form of the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab price and release date details.

The tablet that functions on the Honeycomb OS will stand second in the line for AT&T’s 4G LTE network. At the time of announcing the release date of this tablet, AT&T also greeted with a special offer for the smartphones in its latest collection. The offer is that the consumers who purchase the Galaxy Tab 8.9 can be able to grab either the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket or the Samsung Galaxy S II at free of cost.Users have to pay only for the two-year user agreement and other such charges. AT&T also announced that its 4G LTE network will be expanded to 6 new regions. So, including these 6 new regions AT&T is spreading its reach to a total of 15 cities in the U.S.

“The arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 adds to our outstanding Android lineup and our growing portfolio of premier 4G LTE devices,” says David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “We’re constantly adding new 4G LTE coverage and only AT&T offers 4G LTE plus 4G speeds through our HSPA+ network.”

This tablet features a 8.9 inch HD screen and with dual cameras. The rear facing camera is with LED flash, 3.2 MP sensor. The 2 mega-pixel front camera supports video calls and chatting. The mobile measures its depth as 8.6mm and it weighs 15.9 ounces. It is packed up with a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB. The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is tagged with the price of $479.99 with a user agreement of two years. It is to be launched via AT&T retail stores and online on November 20, 2011. It is compatible with pre-paid as well as post-paid plans.
